Join me as I fly Americans brand new A321XLR from New York to Los Angeleschecking out their premium cabin on one of its early flights. On paper, this seat has a lot going for it. Its wide, spacious, with solid storage and really good tech. The IFE was great toosharp, responsive, and a big plus for a transcon. But comfort-wise, eagles schedule 2026 it didnt fully deliver. The seat just isnt that comfortable for sitting, and the lack of recline is noticeable on a longer flight. The food was good, not amazingpretty standard for a route like this. Where things really fell apart was the service. The crew werent great, and when I asked what they thought of the new plane, one even said she hated it, which kind of says it all. The ground experience at JFK didnt help eitherour boarding passes and bags were initially tagged for the wrong flight in regular economy, and the agent didnt even seem to know premium existed. To make things worse, the WiFi was broken, which takes away from what should be a modern, connected experience. Overall, its a mixed bag. Theres real potential here with the space and techbut between the comfort issues and inconsistent service, it doesnt quite come together.
