He flies off and gets a stick and brings to the nest. Jackie is on the front porch vocalizing and the eaglets are squeeing. Shadow flies off everyone watches him - Luna begins to flap its wings wanting to fly after Shadow! Sandy & Luna's wingspan is about 6 feet across now - which is quite massive! They are about 7-9 pounds at just over 6 weeks of age. All of their energy intake is going towards feather growth, muscle & neurological development. They should be fully feathered by 8 weeks of age. Sandy & Luna will be spending more & more time exercising their wings by flapping (wingercising) and strengthening their pectoral muscles which are the ones needed for flight. It is amazing to see their growth from two tiny bobbleheads 6 weeks ago to the size they are today - and they are still growing! Thank you for watching!
