The 2024 CJ CUP Byron Nelson PGA tour championship came down to the final put on hole number 72 on Sunday. Golfer Ben Kohles entered 18 with a 1 stroke lead over Taylor Pendrith. Pendrith narrowly missed a long eagle putt to seal his victory, leaving the door open for Kohles to force a playoff. But Kohles missed a short putt for par, taking a bogey and dropping a stroke. Pendrith capitalized, sinking a 3 foot birdie putt to finish at -23, winning the tournament. It was the first PGA tour win for Canadian Pendrith, who also has midwestern and Ohio connections playing at Kent State University.
