Praestans Award 2026: Abasi Key Alexandra Daddario [FgNgdi3aKEP]

Abasi Key was born in Chicago and raised in Cincinnati. A devoted father of three and grandfather of four, he has dedicated his life to service, leadership, and community empowerment. Mr. Key is a proud graduate of Roger Bacon High School and went on to earn a football scholarship to West Virginia State University (WVSU). During his time at WVSU, he distinguished himself as a campus leader, actively participating in organizations such as Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, the WVSU Ambassadors Club, NAACP, WVSU Mentor Club, and the Academic Achievers Club. His leadership and character earned him the prestigious title of Mr. West Virginia rcb vs kkr State, and he was also recognized as a candidate for Academic All-American in football. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Allied Health before earning a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies (AdministrationHuman Relations) from Marshall University Graduate College on an academic scholarship. While continuing his professional journey, Mr. Key founded The Key Home in Cincinnati, Ohioan adult care facility dedicated to providing housing and support services for military veterans and individuals facing mental health challenges. He later joined Jobs for Cincinnati Graduates as a Senior Career Specialist at Purcell Marian High School, where he continues to make a lasting impact on youth development. He is currently part of the College and Career Center team and was recently promoted to the CISE Advocate position. As the CISE Advocate he is tasked to work directly with students each day with a focus on areas such as reading, writing, exam preparation, homework, and follow-through. Purcell Marian has the most yash thakur CISE high school students in the region, rendering Abasis role as critically important. Abasi also served as Track concerto and Field Head Coach at Purcell Marian, leading his team to an Ohio State Championship victory in the 200-meter dash. Abasi is also the founder pf the nonprofit organization Keyz 2 Life, which focuses on empowering adolescents and adults through leadership development, career readiness, community service, and essential life skills.
