CNBC Today On NVIDIA Stock, Micron Stock, SK Hynix Stock - NVDA Update Hosts of CNBC discuss NVIDIA, NVIDIA stock (NVDA stock), Micron, Micron stock (MU stock), SK Hynix, and SK Hynix stock (SKHY stock). Monday was a red day throughout much of the market, but somewhat of a mild day for many tech hardware names after market participants had some time to digest the news of the new Kimi K3 open model from China's Moonshot AI. As I said last week, I expect Kimi K3 to lead to greater compute demand, not less. And on Sunday, Moonshot posted online, saying that demand has pushed close to the limits of their current capacity, and they are adding capacity as fast as they can. The world is still compute-constrained. Lower token costs should lead to greater compute demand, not less demand as some market participants incorrectly assume. Also on Monday, IREN announced it signed $2.8B in new customer contracts with leading AI developers, and IREN raised its 2026 ARR forecast to $4B, up from $3.7B previously. Also on Monday, NVIDIA filed a 13G, formally announcing it now owns a 9.3% stake in Nebius. Over the weekend, we learned of comments from SK Hynix' chairman in which he said he expects AI chip demand to grow 60%-100% next year as supply barely rises. Morgan Stanley said on Monday that they view now as a "strong entry point" in memory stocks. Looking ahead, we have hyperscale earnings starting this month. Alphabet earnings are scheduled for July 22, 2026. Meta and Microsoft earnings are both scheduled for July 29, 2026. We're still waiting on Amazon to announce their earnings date. Overall, I expect each of the major four hyperscale companies to report strong CapEx guidance this earnings season due to multiple reasons. I continue to be bullish on NVIDIA long-term. NVIDIA has multiple large long-term growth opportunities in front of it. Sovereign AI, enterprise AI, AI-native startups, physical AI, and quantum computing are all large long-term growth opportunities for NVIDIA. Blackwell Ultra has ramped quickly and remains in high demand. Vera Rubin is on track to launch in 2026. We're expecting NVIDIA Groq 3 LPX in the second half of 2026. Then, we're expecting Rubin Ultra in 2027. And later on, we're expecting NVIDIA's Feynman in 2028. We have a clear datacenter product roadmap extending into 2028, and Jensen Huang believes there will be $3T-$4T of global AI factory buildout annually by the end of the decade.
