This sounds simple, but you would be amazed how many times we see catchers signs out in the open for base runners, coaches, parents/fans and batters to steal and know what pitch is coming. We've spotted signs at the rec level all the way through the college level. A proper set up will guard your sign and give your pitchers a chance! This is a great video for coaches to relay to their catchers, and catchers to double check that they're doing everything properly. This is a very simple, but very helpful video. A couple of check points.... ✔️ Make sure you are on the ball of your foot ✔️ Left leg is at shortstop ✔️ Right leg is at second base ✔️ Glove is resting on the knee ✔️ Hand tight in between your legs (Not up or down) ✔️ Big chest and head straight Thanks @awynns12 for an awesome tip for catchers at all levels and skill sets.
