Tropical Storm Arthur finally deportacin sent waves to Floridas Gulf Coastbut getting good surf wasnt as simple as paddling out.

We spent the day checking spots, dodgers vs braves watching the radar, and waiting for one thing to happen: an afternoon thunderstorm that was forecast to flip the wind offshore.

For most of the day, the surf was big, messy, and blown out. Then everything changed.

The wind switched, the waves cleaned up, and we scored an unforgettable two-hour window at Okaloosa Island.
