News from across Saskatchewan for Monday, July 27, 2026. Alfred Lewis, 17, is the lone survivor of a fatal car crash on the Trans-Canada Highway on July 20 and he's still in hospital with serious brain injuries. His family is also mourning the loss of Alfred’s mother and grandparents. The city is replacing sewer infrastructure in the neighbourhood where the festival's venues are located. The city plans to resurface the street with gravel this week, but if it rains that plan would be in jeopardy. The festival starts on Thursday.
