The starting pitcher had a solid outing on the mound, tossing 6.0 innings with 5 strikeouts and 1 earned run. White Sox offense struck first in the top of the 4th inning. Andrew Benintendi hit his 10th homer of the season to right field, scoring Luis Robert Jr. Andrew Benintendi went 2-for-4 with 2 runs and 2 RBI. A’s Zack Gelof would homer to left field to cut the Sox lead in half. Luis Robert Jr. would save a run with an incredible defensive catch at the wall later in the inning. In the 6th inning, Andrew Vaughn notches an RBI single to score Miguel Vargas and Brooks Baldwin would come home on a wild pitch by Michel Otañez. Sox lead 4-1. Lenyn Sosa would tack on 1 more run in the top of the 9th inning to extend the lead and secure the Sox win. Pitchers Dominic Leone, Chad Kuhl and John Brebbia came in for relief and did not allow a single hit or run in their respective inning.
