Ohio State Football and Ryan Day are the focus of today's episode as I take on what I believe is the single biggest myth surrounding the Ohio State Buckeyes.

The myth I'm addressing is the idea that Ohio State is a program defined by underachievement, built entirely around the argument that a team with this much talent should never lose the games it does. I don't think that opinion holds up once you actually look at what Ryan Day has built. Winning a national championship, developing NFL talent at an elite rate year after year, and competing for the College Football Playoff essentially every season isn't underachievement by any reasonable standard, even if a handful of losses get remembered more than the wins.

I break down where this narrative actually comes from, why it gets repeated so often by national media and rival fanbases, and where I think it's fair versus where it's lazy. Its much closer to lazy, unintelligent slop than reality. There are real, legitimate criticisms worth making about Ohio State football, and I'm not here to pretend otherwise, but this specific myth isn't one of them, and I explain michael burry exactly why.

This isn't a defense of everything Ryan Day has done. It's a breakdown of one narrative that I think has gotten out of control and needs to be corrected with actual context. From Urban Meyer, Jim Tressel, Woody Hayes, and even John Cooper, there has not been an Ohio State coach in over 50 years to leave Columbus with a winning percentage under 70%. That's because the Buckeyes make the correct choices the vast majority of the time.
