We see their dark grey thermal down coming in which will give the chicks the ability to thermoregulate their body temperature! Also we see their tiny wingers - little flaps by the chicks testing out what their wings will be used for! We are also entering the stage where the chicks feet seem disproportionately bigger than the rest of their body aka dubbed clown feet! Their feet look too big for their bodies and give them a clumsy feeling as they move around more😁 The chicks had 11 feedings today and sliced 36 poop shoots! One of them was a direct hit on Jackie! Timestamps are 16:15 & 16:32. And so it begins! If you remember last season with Sunny & Gizmo, both Jackie & Shadow were sitting ducks for numerous bullseye PS hits all season long! 😁 There is still some bonking going on but it is mild and the chicks should outgrow it in a few weeks. Shadow gave a nice feeding today giving both chicks pretty equal bites. He did get a quick bite to his beak during the feeding though! Jackie also gave several good feedings - she is shown in the video giving the last feeding of the day. Chick 2 did have a piece of fish get caught in its throat but it was able to spit it out okay. By the end of their second week, the chicks should be weighing close to 2 lbs! Jackie & Shadow are doing an excellent job raising their family! Thank you for watching!
