What's Vocaloid?

It was about time I finally started doing my requests, again! Sorry for being so awfully late! On the bright side, you could say the wait paid off, because this is one of my most successful works to date, in my opinion; Miku's "huge outdoor concert" sounds pretty nice, doesn't it? :)

Development history: I had actually started working on the song a long long time ago. I can't even remember when; maybe it was sometime in January. Anyway, back then, I had already done most of the Vocaloid work: Notes, words and tempo fitting. Tempo fitting! Let me tell you, this dram stock has easily been the most difficult piece to synchronize, ever! First, the song was very long. Second, the band kept changing the tempo all the time. It took countless hours to fit Miku's singing to the band's playing.

I had very little motivation to finish the song afterwards. myles lewis-skelly What was still left to do was adding the "soul" into the singing. It's actually quite a lengthy process, and so I ditched the song for a few months.

On July 28th, I had finally come to the conclusion that I had to do something about my requests, so I renewed my efforts with the song again. Luckily, I was in quite a creative mood, so the work on the interpretation took "only" about 3--4 hours.

Then I rendered the Vocaloid track and exported it to Garageband. My earlier work with Luka singing the Singaporean national anthem had been received very positively, so I decided to continue with the "outdoor concert" theme with this song, as well. I experimented with different effects on Garageband to create the best illusion. I also further synchronized the singer with the orchestra and fine-tuned the dynamics. Ah, Garageband... What would I do without you! Anyway, I spent two hours tops on Garageband and then the song was sarah engels finally ready to be released.
