Romania has shot down another drone after it entered the country's airspace, marking the third reported airspace violation in just 72 hours. President Nicușor Dan confirmed that a Romanian Air Force F-16 intercepted and destroyed the unmanned aircraft over the Danube Delta region near the Sulina–Chilia sector. The incident comes amid growing concern over drones linked to the war in Ukraine approaching NATO territory. Dan condemned the repeated incursions, calling them "inadmissible and intolerable" and stressing that Romanian airspace is also NATO and European Union airspace. Romanian prosecutors previously identified a drone downed on July 24 as a Russian Shahed-type UAV, while authorities continue investigating the incidents on July 25 and 26. Romania has also summoned Russia's ambassador to protest the latest violation.
