There is a hint that the movie doesn’t feature our usual Maria Hill and Nick Fury…as early as the opening scene! When we first meet “Maria” and “Fury” just before they encounter Quentin Beck for the first time, Maria refers to Fury as Nick. Seeing as no one ever calls the character by his first name under normal circumstances, it is a hint very early on that these two are not who they appear to be, adding to the reveal in the post credit scene that they are in fact Skrulls.
