Fox 17 News is in a Code Red weather alert for strong storms possible Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will be moving through the area Thursday and some of the strongest storms could bring damaging winds and heavy rainfall. There is a level 2 risk for severe weather in areas mainly northeast of Nashville. A level 1 risk is in place for everywhere else. The best chance for strong activity will be during the afternoon and evening. As of right now, it doesn’t look like there is a threat for tornadoes. Showers will clear the area Friday morning and the rest of Friday is looking good.
