Forgotten Roads | Ep.1 Big Sur | Hammerhead Norvegia [wKnKVMn74fN]

Forgotten Roads is a self-supported and self-filmed 3 part series documenting gravel rides in California. We hope to inspire you to get out and explore the world by bike. In the first episode Alex and I head up vaibhav arora the coast to Big Sur after learning one of the more popular camping and recreation areas has been closed to cars for almost a year. After a fire devastated the area and later on a heavy storm compounded the area's problems, the only sealed road up to the ridge, Naciemento Ferguson Rd., was forced to close for repairs. Our loop had us coming up a long, steep and dusty dirt climb before riding across the ridgeline and finally descending to the ocean down Naciemento Fergusson at sunset. We threw in a few side missions along the way for good measure. You can take a look at the route on Strava below.
