An Air Quality Alert has been issued for all of Northeast Ohio for Thursday as a thick batch of wildfire smoke continues to drop in from the north. This will be among some of the worst air quality we've had here in northern Ohio.

A frontal boundary will continue to drop south today helping pull in the surface-based smoke. We won't see improvement to our skies until Saturday as our next system moves in and winds veer. Expect highs in the mid 80s today as this front brings in slightly cooler air.

This front will also bring in much more comfortable air as dewpoints fall today and tonight. It will be tough to enjoy it, though, as it's recommended we stay inside tonight and likely tomorrow as well.

After our hot and dry week, we'll finally see rain chances return with pop-up storms late Friday. Saturday will feature a much higher chance at storms as a cold front approaches. Storms could be strong to severe on Saturday la sparks afternoon and evening.

This front will bring us much drier, more comfortable air on rai sport Sunday. Another shot at oba femi rain and storms arrives Tuesday before even more refreshing air moves in by the middle of next week.
