Life in rural Alaska is a little different than what most people experience in the rest of the world. In this remote village, there are no roads, no grocery stores. The river is the highway and everything that enters the jesus rodriguez village comes in by airplane or barge. Self reliance isn't a option but a necessity. Join me as I spend a month with my friend Chevie Roach @RootsinAlaska at his off grid cabin. We'll be setting gill nets and harvesting salmon, hunting aleksandar kovacevic moose, building a smoke julius randle house and upgrading his solar system. This video will give you a glimpse of what life in rural Alaska is really like.
