Big Bear eggs typically hatch 37-40 days after laying! After the first pip is seen, there is usually a hatch 24-48 hours later! Can't wait!!!!!!!! ♥♥♥♥ Jackie wakes up to another beautiful Big Bear sunrise and she gets up to take a quick break. She flies to the Cactus snag and then returns to the nest to wait on Shadow. They are being extra cautious to make sure the eggs are not left alone with ravens around. Jackie will get up to leave a little while later, calling out for Shadow and here he comes to the nest right after she departs. Shadow then has the morning for Daddy egg duty! Shadow is well equipped to handle hours of incubation. He gets up to roll the eggs frequently and continues to incubate. When it is almost noon, Shadow gets up and sees Jackie on Simba Tree and he flies off the nest. When he arrives, he is feeling quite frisky and immediately mates with Jackie! ♥ Jackie then leaves and returns to the nest to incubate the eggs. Love in the morning, love in the afternoon...love anytime! Shadow will depart ST and fly to Lookout Snag and Cactus snag knowing the eggs are well protected. Thank you for watching!
