David Joseph Pittman (63) is scheduled to be executed in Florida on September 17, 2025 for the 1990 stabbing deaths of his estranged wife's (Marie's) parents, Clarence (61) and Barbara (51) Knowles, and their younger daughter (Marie's sister), Bonnie Knowles (20). Pittman also set the house on fire and then set Bonnie's car on fire after he fled in her vehicle. The Knowles home was located in Mulberry, Florida (Polk County). UPDATE (WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2025): David Pittman (63) was executed this evening in Florida. His official time of death was 6:12pm local time. With his last words, Pittman stated: "I know you all came to watch an innocent man be murdered by the State of Florida. I am innocent. I didn’t kill anybody. That’s it." - Earlier, Pittman was served a special final meal request that consisted of fried chicken, steak, biscuits, chocolate, and a soda. - Pittman was the 12th death row inmate executed in Florida this year.
