Bill ventures to a local mill to meet Rex Gormley, who much like Bill's grandfather, worked as a loom overlooker. Rex describes to Bill what the job of an overlooker requires and shows how there could have been links between Bill's grandfathers death and his job at the mill.

A few years back, Bill was diagnosed with clinical depression. Learning more about the condition, he discovered that it could be rooted in the absence of his Mother growing up.

Bills Mother, Lillian, was diagnosed as a manic-depressive and spent much of her adult life in mental institutions.

But what caused Lillian's illness? Bill returns to his hometown and meets up with distant friends and relatives to find out the cause of his Mothers condition and hopefully help himself overcome his own anxieties.
