In 2021, NBC host Bob Costas sat down with The Ringer's Kevin Clark to recount his illustrious career, including a reflection upon one of his biggest on-air regrets. We flash back to Costas wading through a tiny visitor's locker room at The Forum, searching for Michael Jordan following the Chicago Bulls' first championship win in 1991.

Costas: I finally see Michael Jordan, who is sitting on the floor or on some very low bench clutching the championship trophy and his fatherwhom I'd met several times beforeis leaning off his right shoulder. And off his left shoulder is a woman, and I'm looking at Michael, so she's just in the corner of my eye and my eyes are filled with champagne. They've already doused me. Michael hosted SNL a couple months later and I was sitting in the audience at 30 Rock for the live show. Juanita was only a few seats away. I went over and said hello quite the pair strands and she could not have been more gracious about the whole thing. But you know, there's a few things you want a mulligan on.
