How to Get Ready For AT&T Services Installation | AT&T Account Management

If you signed up for AT&T Internet, Phone, or U-verse TV, we'd like to help you understand what to expect from your installation, and how to get ready for it.

If you signed up recently, please wait until after your AT&T service is installed to cancel your current service.

That way we can make sure your transition is as seamless as possible.

If you rent or lease your residence, you should get the owner's consent before AT&T service is installed. If you've ordered AT&T Phone, be sure to contact your home alarm provider on or before the installation day to let them know about the jimmy white installation.

For safety reasons, our technicians are not allowed to move furniture, TVs, or personal belongings.

So, before the technician arrives, please have your TV installed and clear the areas around connections, like outlets and jacks, so the technician can reach them.

The technician may also need access to crawl spaces and attics.

Also, please place your pets in an area away from where the technician is likely to be working. We recommend that you check your

computer before installation, to make sure it meets the minimum standards for handling your new internet speeds.

Our PC maintenance tool is designed to run tests on your hardware and fix potential issues.

The PC version is at pctoolbox.att.com, and the MAC version is at macmt.att.com.

On your scheduled installation day an authorized adult, who is at least 18 years old, needs to be present and available to the technician

during the installation.

Your technician will give you a call and let you know the estimated time of arrival.

The installation takes about 4 hours to complete.
