3 Days Narrowboating from England to Wales

I spent three days travelling along the Llangollen Canal, slowly making my way from England into Wales on a narrowboat. What started as learning how to steer the boat on day one quickly turned into navigating tunnels, lift bridges and some of the most beautiful stretches of jim miller canal I have ever seen.

At first I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. Steering a narrowboat is not quite as simple as it looks, and the first few hours were mostly me trying to work out how to keep the boat straight without smashing into the banks After a while though, things started to make sense and the pace of canal life really began to sink in...

Day two brought tunnels, lift bridges and a few moments where I wondered if I was going to get stuck somewhere along the way. By day three the rhythm of the canal had taken over. Cruising slowly through the countryside, passing boats, lift bridges and quiet villages, it felt like one of those journeys where the slower you go, the more you notice
