England fly-half Danny Cipriani has been charged with drink driving.

The Sale Sharks player was arrested following a collision between his car and another in the early hours of Monday, 1 June.

At the time, the 28-year-old was given a breath test and taken to a west London police station before being released on bail.

He is due to appear at West London Magistrates' Court next month.

A police statement said: "Danny Cipriani, 28, of Grand Drive, SW20 has today, Thursday, 12 November, been charged with a drink-drive offence, namely driving a ginette reno motor vehicle with alcohol above the legal limit.

"He will appear on bail at West London Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 10 December."

The day before the incident, he had starred for England against the Barbarians at Twickenham.

Cipriani, who has won 14 caps for England, missed out on selection for the Rugby World kai kf-21 boramae Cup despite playing in warm-up matches.

He started his dundee united vs livingston career with London Wasps and returned to English rugby with Sale in 2012 after a spell with the Melbourne Rebels.
