"We're done. We're done clapping," Boston recalled with a smile. "There's no more claps. There's nothing else to clap about."

She then explained what happened once the Fever gathered in the huddle.

"I already told her in the Phoenix game. We went in the huddle, this was after I think Myisha Hines-Allen got ejected, and I was like, 'Guys, we need to lock back in,'" Boston said. "And I said, 'Caitlin, don't say another word.'

"I said, 'Do not speak. I don't want to hear one word come out of your mouth because you are not getting another. You are not.'"
