Hurricane Genevieve Peaks - Tropical Weather Bulletin [6SvNX9iwTE6]

Go to this link to watch live satellite imagery on Hurricane Genevieve! Hurricane Genevieve peaked earlier today as a Category 4 in the Eastern Pacific, off the western coast of Mexico. The storm has since weakened slightly, but remains a strong Category 3 on the Saffir Simpson scale and could affect the southern Baja California peninsula with tropical storm force winds late this week. Elsewhere, Typhoon Higos made landfall in southern China a few hours ago, west of Macau and Hong Kong. The storm intensified significantly prior to landfall, and may have had winds of over 80mph when it struck land. In the Atlantic, two areas of interest remain a menace for forecasters, with computer models unsure of how to proceed. Both systems are likely to form, and could become significant tropical cyclones in the Caribbean, the US Gulf Coast, or the US East Coast next week.
