Oregon Governor Tina Kotek Invokes Emergency Conflagration Act For The First Time In 2026 Ram 2500 Tire Speed Recall [MvQbvSneXQn]

Driving winds fueled rapid growth of the Olive Butte Fire in Grant County on Saturday afternoon, prompting evacuation notices for the town of Granite and surrounding areas and leading Gov. Tina Kotek to invoke Oregons Emergency Conflagration Act.

Kotek invoked the act July 11 after the Grant County walmart stock Fire Defense Board chief and the Grant County judge tunnel requested assistance with life, safety and structural fire protection. The State Fire Marshal concurred with the request.

Under Oregon law, Kotek determined that a threat to life, safety and property exists because of the fire and that the threat exceeds the firefighting capabilities of alexandra diaz local personnel and equipment. The declaration allows the State Fire Marshal to mobilize resources through the Oregon Fire Mutual Aid System to support local fire service agencies on scene.
