The video opens with the sub adult on the Cactus Snag after she spent the night alone in the Roost tree. The sub adult hangs out for awhile then flies to the Lookout Snag where she stays for a couple of hours. Shadow was not seen on cam until the end of the day when our cam operator spotted him on the Twin Pines. Shadow seemed to be waiting for Jackie to show up either at the nest or on one of the nearby trees. Shadow stayed on TP for twenty-three minutes before he flew off. The sub adult spots Shadow flying and follows after him and they both end up in the Roost Tree. Shadow is on a branch slightly above where the sub adult is perched. They both are roosting there for the night again. Shadow was seen by the lake today but no sightings of Sandy & Luna. It was nice to see Jackie making some improvements with her anemia treatment at Ojai Raptor Center today. She is very sick but she is fighting to recover! She has the spirit of a warrior & thousands of people are praying for her to be well again. This sub adult has beat the odds at survival and will be coming into adulthood in the next year - she is behaving normally and is not doing anything wrong. She is just trying to survive, explore territory and follow her natural instincts. She may continue to follow Shadow around the territory and perch in the surrounding trees. We would not have known how sick & weak Jackie actually was without the altercation on the ground with two other eagles resulting in her rescue and treatment now. Mother Nature works in mysterious ways. Prayers for Jackie to recover and return to her nest, territory & Shadow! Thank you for watching!
