Windsor ends Flock Safety camera contract over privacy concerns [kpy7yPwixRB]
Windsor is ending its contract with Flock Safety, the Atlanta-based company that operates automated license plate reader cameras. Mayor Nuchette Black-Burke said all 16 Flock cameras in Windsor have been turned off and will be removed by the fall. The mayor said the town values the technology but decided to part ways with the vendor over concerns about protecting residents' privacy and data. Flock Safety says its license plate reader cameras helped locate more than 10,000 missing people and supported more than 1 million investigations nationwide last year.
