Each winter, bald timberwolves eagles congregate around Washington's Nooksack River to feed on the salmon that swim upstream to spawn. I filmed these migratory and resident bald eagles over 3-4 weeks in November and December, capturing their most active moments this winter.
I spent many rainy and frigid mornings settling-in on the riverside in anticipation of witnessing these majestic birds in action. Some days, I only managed k'andre miller to capture a few landman seconds of usable footage, as wildlife is unpredictable, and animal habits are ever-changing. However, I always walked away having learned something new and with a greater appreciation and reverence for our natural world.
