Michael Bernard Bell (54) is scheduled to be executed on July 15, 2025 in Florida for the 1993 murders of Jimmy West and Tamecka Smith (18) outside a bar in Jacksonville, Florida. Bell was also found responsible for the deaths of three other victims previously: Lashawn Cowart (19) and her two-year-old son Travis, also Bell's mother's boyfriend, Michael Johnson. UPDATE (TUESDAY, JULY 15, 2025): Michael Bernard Bell (54) was executed in Florida this evening. His official time of death was 6:25pm local time. When the prison warden asked Bell if he would like to speak any last words, he stated: “Thank you for not letting me spend the rest of my life in prison.” - Michael Bell woke this morning at 6:30am and soon after consumed his final meal that consisted of an omelet, bacon, home fries and orange juice.
