CHARLESTON , S.C. (WCIV) — A 2.9 magnitude earthquake rattled homes throughout the tri-county area Saturday evening. The United States Geological Survey confirmed the quake, which originated about 3.7 miles southeast of Centerville, happened around 10:30 p.m. Viewers told News 4 they could feel it in Summerville, North Charleston, and in parts of Berkeley County. USGS said the quake's depth was around 5.2 kilometers. It was the second earthquake in less than a week for the area after a 2.3 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday.
