SHADY: The Trumps are trying to HIDE EVIDENCE in a lawsuit Donald filed [LF1jadfM35h]

🤷 Here’s a good rule of thumb: if you sue someone, you don’t get to hide from them. That’s the whole deal. You bring the case, you open the door to discovery. So it’s a little strange that Donald Trump sued the BBC for $10 billion, and is now using the United States Secret Service to physically block the BBC from getting his family’s records. In the case he filed. 👇 Quick background. Trump is suing the BBC over a Panorama documentary that edited his January 6 speech, splicing the “fight like hell” line closer to the “march to the Capitol” line and cutting the part where he said “peacefully and patriotically.” He says that edit defamed him. Fine. But to win a defamation case, you have to let the other side test your claim, and the BBC has issued 47 subpoenas to Trump’s inner circle seeking documents about his intent and state of mind on that day. One of those subpoenas went to Don Jr., who runs the family trust, seeking drafts of the speech and the records already handed to the January 6 committee and Jack Smith’s grand jury. And this is where it gets genuinely alarming. According to the BBC’s own court filing, the Secret Service has, in their words, “prevented” them from even serving that subpoena on Don Jr. Meanwhile the Justice Department is separately fighting those same subpoenas in court, and the U.S. government is reportedly trying to join Trump’s private lawsuit outright, which the BBC calls a “clear and stark” conflict of interest. So two arms of the federal government are being used to shield the evidence in a billionaire’s personal vanity suit. If a man sues you, and then sends armed federal agents to stop you from seeing the documents that would settle it, the natural question is: what’s in the documents? 🇺🇸 📌 SOURCES: 📰 Raw Story (BBC filing: Secret Service “prevented” service of the Don Jr. subpoena; the 47 subpoenas; speech drafts): 📰 Alternet (the “prevented” footnote; DOJ Statement of Interest; conflict of interest): 📰 Forbes (U.S. government reportedly seeking to join Trump’s $10B suit; BBC’s “clear and stark” conflict warning): 📰 Reuters via AOL (judge denied BBC stay; discovery proceeds; Feb 2027 trial): 👇 SUBSCRIBE for daily political takes, LIKE if suing someone means you can’t hide from them, and COMMENT: what do YOU think is in those records? 🤔 #Trump #BBC #January6 #Politics #DonaldTrumpJr #PoliticalCommentary #Shorts #SecretService #Defamation #DonJr #Discovery #Accountability
