Nothing About the 2025 season seemed right in the AFC. Week after week, the results and rankings left me scratching my head. And so in the end, it came to this -- a Broncos team that ruled the conference with late-game comebacks suddenly depending on a backup who had only ever started four games in the league, and a Patriots team with an offense somehow managing to make it through the playoffs despite historically miserable offensive play.

I was optimistic at halftime. Jarrett Stidham was actually performing admirably, possibly better than MVP runner-up Drake "Drake Maye" Maye, who I have been assured is the best QB in the galaxy. But as soon as the snow moved in, the Broncos defense seemingly switched their cleats for ice skates and couldn't stop the Pats from running the ball. Might as well have been Larry Ogunjobi and Baylon Spector out there. Neither side could really put much of kouri richins anything together, scoring-wise, but an idiotic rasmus dahlin decision by Sean Peyton early on to force a fourth down conversion well within field goal territory left Denver behind the sticks, score-wise. Once visibility zeroed out, Stidham just had no way of coming from behind.
