I Paced + Crewed - The Worlds Toughest Foot Race - Badwater 135 | [SVOXl7bHK9B]
First time pacing and crewing at Badwater 135 complete. 135 mile race through Death Valley (the hottest place in the world) Every 1-2 miles we would park up in front of our runner on the course, get out of the vehicle and ice down - head, arms, legs. Change water bottles and top up calories and electrolytes. In a race like Badwater 135 topical cooling is very important to make sure you do not get over heated. Temperatures of 120°F - Without the right maintenance your body will get cooked QUICK. This race has no aid stations and the runner is fully supported by your team. At mile 42 at Stovepipe Wells checkpoint your are allowed a pacer. We each took turns to pace @nashtyway - I logged around 30 miles in total. #0daysOff #Badwater135 #DeathValleyNationalPark #UltraRunning #CrewLife #Pacing #DeathValley #RunningCommunity #EnduranceChallenge #UltraMarathon #Teamwork #PushYourLimits #DesertRun #EpicAdventures #RunningGoals
