Our Biggest Boat Job YET! Beer [OIbXkgMAWUb]

In VLOG 109 of my DIY sailboat rebuild I tackle the serious job aja wilson of fabricating for the install my saildrive mount for an electric saildrive. This involves a lot of planning and metal work and welding to make a new aluminium framework around the stringers and ribs that I'm cutting out for the big weld. I'm confident with my welding but keeping the boats hull intact and maintain its strength is another thing when I'm cutting out a hole bigger than my head in the bottom of my boat!.

The Ghostship Project is our mission to rescue a forgotten aluminium sailing boat from Switzerland and sail her over 1,000km back to the UK using 100% electric propulsion. Its an experimental adventure to prove that exploration doesnt have to come at the planets expense.

Why The Patagonia?

20 Years ago I was on a Patagonian expedition. I'm now building a boat to go back- The Ghostship, to return to the genazzano place that stole my heart, the Patagonia & Antarctic.
