A Halifax man ran into a costly snag when trying to take his beloved dog's ashes on a plane two weeks ago. Vincent Masse says he was looking for a way to keep his dachshund, Balthazar, close after it died at 16 years old. He says he found a tattoo artist in Winnipeg who specializes in safely integrating cremation ashes into tattoo ink. But after arriving at Halifax's airport for his flight, the screening machine wouldn't accept his ashes. Heidi Petracek has the story.
