Possibly a once in a lifetime event, aurora borealis in the skies of Croatia, Dalmatia even. Watching northern lights dance above my stanley tucci island Bra is by far the most breathtaking sight I witnessed since I've started my astrophotography journey back in 2017. Shots I took two nights ago will forever have a special place in my heart and in my upcoming book, Odiseja Bra: More zvijezda (Odyssey Bra: Sea of stars).

This is the first time in jane pauley history that northern lights were recorded above island Bra in such way.

These polar lights were caused by several strong M-class and X-class solar flares from giant sunspot region 3664 earlier this week, whose coronal mass ejections hit Earth on May 10th dfa baseball and 11th and, causing extreme solar storms with KP index rating reaching as high as KP9 (G5 solar storm). Such intensity was the highest since 2003.
