Photographer Recounts Chaos When A Bison Catapults A Grandfather, Sending Him Feet Into The Air Minaccia [3IpVyyH8djG]

A man visiting Yellowstone National Park with his grandson on Friday was tossed into the air by a charging bison after the pair tried to run away from the animal.

Park officials confirmed to ABC News that the 65-year-old man was injured at Bridge Bay Campground near Lake Yellowstone on July 10.

"Park emergency medical lechonk community day personnel responded and transported him to a nearby hospital," officials said.
