NS 3492 Leads NS A81 East Through Huntsville, AL, With A Happy Crew! [scqQPNXjGa9]

Oh boy, where to begin? Thursday has got to be one of the most interesting days of railfanning we've had on the Memphis East race for the cure roma 2026 percorso End in a long time. From hilarious dispatchers to train derailments, we just about had everything except a heritage. Vince and I got together the night before to see what NS would have to offer us that morning. We kicked things off with a pumpkin special, NS 736 and 4 BNSF engines. Breakfast took place, and then we heard A81 getting ready to leave with an Operation Lifesaver unit in the lead! Right around the time this video happened, we heard the unfortunate news of the derailment from dispatch.

Thursday morning, at about 9:30 Chattanooga time, NS 164 was koji suzuki getting off of the AGS (Birmingham, AL - Chattanooga, TN) onto CSX turf to get into Chattanooga. Unfortunately, they ended up hitting a loaded semi truck at Wauhatchi Pike, derailing the 3 locomotives and 10 cars with them. Unfortunately, where they derailed ended up blocking the junction for the AGS, CSX's Chattanooga - Nashville route, and our own route. Fortunately, CSX had trains running again by that evening. Neither the crew members, nor the truck driver, were harmed in the incident.
