Its a much colder start today, with a few snow flurries around and some icy patches, especially in central Scotland. Showers here bring snow over the hills and the odd flake to lower levels. Northern Ireland, northern England, Wales and the southwest also see wintry showers, with sleet, hail and some hill snow. Eastern England stays mostly dry and bright, with sunny spells for many. Although winds are lighter than yesterday, the colder air makes it feel chilly, with highs only 89C, and even 23C in the breeze when showers pass through.- This jr ritchie is the Met Office UK weather forecast for the morning of 13/03/2026.
