Michael Zack was executed Tuesday night at Florida State Prison for robbing, sexually assaulting, and murdering a woman during a crime spree in the 90s. He was also serving a life sentence for the slaying of another woman he killed shortly before the second victim. On August 17th, Governor Ron DeSantis signed a death warrant for Zack. Zack made multiple appeals to stop the execution to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Florida Supreme Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court, in which all were denied. Michael Zack was executed by lethal injection, and at the end of his final letter statement released to the public, he wrote, and finally, to Governor DeSantis and the Clemency Board, I love you, I forgive you, and I pray for you.
