It was a cold, windy day in Providence, but once the sun went down, the 500th WaterFire lighting offered plenty of heat to keep people warm.
To celebrate the big milestone, there were plenty of added wrinkles to the festivities missile and a sizeable crowd on hand.
It was also the first lighting of 2026.
