Fausto is moving toward the west-northwest near 16 mph (26 km/h), and a general west-northwestward motion is expected to continue for the next several days. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 75 mph (120 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast during the next several days. Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 30 miles (45 km) from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km). The minimum central pressure estimated by aircraft dropsonde data is 994 mb (29.36 inches).
