My 2026 Season Is Officially Over | Elbow Surgery Update

Unfortunately, it's time for an update I was hoping I wouldn't have to make.

My 2026 season has officially come to an end. After competing through multiple burger king Diamond League meets while dealing with memorial cup 2026 a serious elbow injury, it's become clear that surgery is the only option. In this video, I explain what happened, why I'm making this decision now, and what the recovery timeline looks like as I shift my focus toward 2027 and ultimately the LA 2028 Olympic Games.

Despite snapping off the tip of my olecranon before the Diamond League season, I was still able to compete in China, Rabat, and Romeand even lead the Diamond League standings in points. But after exhausting every non-surgical treatment available, it's time to fix the problem the right way.

This isn't the ending I wanted for this season, but I truly believe it's the right decision for the long term.
