Speaker bios:

Cherrelle Gardener is the Program Manager at Co-op Dayton. She earned her Masters Degree in Education at Wright State University and worked in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at local universities. Cherrelle came to Co-op Dayton as a member-owner of the Gem City Market cooperative, and a facilitator and leader of our other projects, including a trucking co-op, fitness co-op, and real estate investment cooperative.

Rachel Dominguez-Benner is a textile artist and co-op wwe backlash enthusiast living and working in Dayton, Ohio. Recently finishing a year-long term of service through AmeriCorps VISTA, Rachel continues to work with the non-profit CO-OP Dayton. Rachel builds with start-up co-ops and social initiatives to work collaboratively using approachable online tools and systems. Rachel currently works as Interim Marketing Coordinator for the Gem City Market Cooperative and serves as Gem City Market Membership Committee Co-Chair.

Joy Bauman serves as a Program Coordinator for the CFAES Center for Cooperatives where she supports and facilitates the planning, organization and delivery of cooperative programming for the Center. Joy has been employed by The Ohio State University since 2006. She is a representative to the CFAES Staff Advisory Council.

Ryan Kline is the new Cooperative Development Specialist for the CFAES Center for Cooperatives. Born and raised on a fifth-generation family farm in Ross County, Appalachian agriculture deeply impacted his personal and professional life. He received his BA in History at Ohio University, and his Masters degree cruz azul in History at Auburn University, focusing on the history of agriculture, labor, and race.

Charissa Gardener began her career at The Ohio State University South Centers in 2011. She has served as the Program Coordinator for the Specialty Crops program for the past seven years, and as Program Coordinator for the Direct Marketing program for the past five years. Gardner currently serves as the Program Coordinator for the Center for Cooperatives.
