Arizona prepares to see total lunar eclipse [sM4v5lljYpL]
Set your alarm clocks! A spectacular blood-red moon will put on a celestial show across our skies during a total lunar eclipse early Tuesday morning. This rare event, which won’t occur again until late 2028, will be visible from North America, Central America and the western portions of South America. In a total lunar eclipse, Earth moves directly between the sun and a full moon, casting a shadow that completely covers the moon. In Arizona, the eclipse will begin with a partial phase at 1:44 a.m., when it will look like small bites are taken out of the moon.
