It's time for the monthly recap of the weather in Boston! In some very exciting news, the weather cameras have finally been moved to their final locations. We can finally drop the BETA label after this month! July began with a heat wave. But, due to the high-pressure situation in the middle of the US, the rest of the month returned to Arctic Blast conditions that saw unseasonably low temperatures throughout the rest of the month. There were very few instances of rain, which means that the entire region is now in a drought. A few very severe thunderstorms popped up out West, but dissipated when they arrived at the Boston/Metro area. Smoke and haze from wildfires was also an overwhelming theme for this month. There are many extremely clear days and nights in this month's video. For now, we are in the doldrums of Sumnmer, where it is too cold for pool or beach days, but not nearly cold enough for the fall activities that happen regularly around here.
