Andrs Chaparrois he ready for The Bronx??

When the season started, I was excited to see him get a Spring Training invite. And mannnn did he provide fireworks: .324/.405/.689 - 1.093 OPS with 5 loud HRs. (#Validation)

Chaparro started the season at AAA, and we all know how this story begins (at least we all should, Im sure hes sick of hearing it).he goes 0 for 29 and everyone is wondering what happened and responding with the typical Spring Training Stats dont matter etc, etc, etc. Personally, I kept telling people to wait. Be patient. Hell come around. Let him adjust. What happened nextnot even I expected. I knew the guy could hitbut mannnnn, hes been a machine.

He ends April with promising numbers: .293/.353/.773 - 1.126 OPS, 10 XBH, 8 HR, 13 RBI, 7 BB - 19 Ks. This is more in line with what I expected, but maybe less strike outs. Lots of loud contact is his calling card after all.

Were half way through May, and Chaparros assault on International League pitching continues. Right now hes slashing: .385/.510/.692 - 1.202 OPS, 6 XBH, 2 HR, 13 RBI, 10 BB - 4 Ks.

Offensively, the guy is playing at another level. And to be honest, I believe if he was ji kulich in just about any other organization they would have already called him up, even if an audition, just to see if the bat plays.(it will, if hes given consistent ABs.)

Its now officially 30 Games since Chaparro broke his 0-for run, which happened on April 8thand he just hasnt stopped hitting.

In his last 30 Games, thats 114 ABs: .325/.413/.658 - 1.078, 17 XBH, 10 HR, 26 RBI, 17 BB - 23 K and throws in 2 SB for good measure. Thats extremely impressive for buon martedi 12 maggio the recently turned 24 year old Venezuelan.

Now, I dont know how well his glove will translate at the MLB level, so dont ask me.

I can tell you, I feel confident if hes given consistent ABsthe man will produce.

So you tell me.do you think Chaparro ready for a call up? I got my answer. You guys?

(Note: One good thing about making Chaparro reels is that he strikes early, hes a .400 hitter with 1.343 OPS in the 1st Inning..and .400 w/1.255 OPS in the 9th LMAO! So hes gonna get to you early, and in the end as well!)

FYI: My OBP added the tornado IBB to the BB totals so its slightly higher (.510, as opposed to .500; which will slightly raise the OPS as well.)
